Bell Bay Aluminium in Northern Tasmania is offering a Diesel Fitter Apprenticeship within its maintenance team. You will learn mobile plant maintenance, work under an apprenticeship program with Tas TAFE, and gain experience from qualified tradespeople in a safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, team-oriented, with maths/English grades and a passion for heavy equipment. Fixed-term role with strong development opportunities and benefits within the Rio Tinto group.

Qualifications

• Passing grades in Maths and English.
• Interest in Heavy Commercial Vehicles or Mobile Plant Machinery.
• Self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude.
• Strong work ethics with a commitment to health, safety and environmental work practices.

Responsibilities

• Learn mobile plant maintenance and trade skills across site.
• Complete apprenticeship with Tas TAFE via training plan.
• Work as part of a team to ensure safe, continuous operations.
• Be mentored by qualified tradespeople on site.
