Job summary

TransWest seeks a skilled fleet technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on motorcoaches, shuttles, light-duty vehicles, and electric fleets. You will diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, HVAC, electrical systems, and maintain accurate records while using OEM software and tools.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus experience or completion of relevant vocational training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Professional experience maintaining and repairing vehicles or completion of a vocational program
• Experience on transit buses, motorcoaches, or fleet equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles
• Diagnose, repair, and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, HVAC, electrical systems
• Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot vehicle systems
• Conduct road tests and field service calls as needed
