Job summary

Echo Cartons, a family‑owned packaging manufacturer in Braeside, Victoria, is seeking a skilled machine operator. You will set and run a range of machines and be responsible for meeting daily production targets in a mostly automated plant.

Applicants should have at least 4 years of machine operation experience, be able to read a tape measure, and have basic computer literacy. A forklift license is an advantage. Permanent residency is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of machine operator experience
• Experience in the paper packaging industry
• Able to read a tape measure accurately
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Some machines are computer-set while others require manual setup with hand tools and tape measures
• Eye for detail and problem solving essential
• Able to work without supervision and meet daily production targets
• Capable of lifting up to 15 kg
• Permanent residency status required for this role

Echo Cartons is located in the Bayside suburb of Braeside. We manufacture cardboard boxes and displays.

Due to expansion of the company we require a person with good mechanical skills to set and run a variety of machines.

Minimum 4 years of machine operator experience is required for this position.

Candidates must have experience working in the paper packaging industry.

Applicants must be capable of accurately reading a tape measure and have basic knowledge of computers.

Data entry skills and computer literacy are required for this position.

Whilst some machines are computer set other require manual setting with the use of hand tools and tape measures.

An eye for detail and problem solving is essential.

Must be able to work without supervision and capable of meeting daily production targets.

Whilst most of the plant is automated, the successfully candidate must be able to perform Physically Demanding Tasks and lift up to 15kg.
