Job summary

Frontline Human Resources is assisting a leading manufacturer in Dandenong South to recruit an experienced Die Setter for casual ongoing work.

You will set up and change dies, position tooling, adjust machine settings and perform first-off checks to ensure products meet specification. Hours are Mon–Fri with early starts; on offer: gym facilities on site, monthly RDO and an employee recognition program.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Die Setter or similar role (Die Setter, Press Setter, Tool Setter).
• Experience with dies, tooling and production machinery.
• Manufacturing or metal production experience.
• Ability to read and follow production instructions and basic drawings.

$45+ per hour | Casual Ongoing | Monday to Friday

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative building products and engineered solutions for the construction industry, providing high-quality structural components and building systems to the Australian construction sector.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Die Setter to join their busy manufacturing and production team in Dandenong South.

The Role

As a Die Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing production machinery and tooling to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to specification.

Your duties will include:

• Setting up and changing over dies and tooling on production machinery
• Installing, removing and positioning dies correctly
• Adjusting machine settings to ensure efficient production
• Setting machines to produce products to required specifications
• Conducting first-off and quality checks
• Monitoring production and making adjustments where required
• Identifying and resolving basic machine and tooling issues
• Checking products for defects, quality and sharp edges
• Assisting with production and general manufacturing duties when required
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About You

• Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Setter, Tool Setter or Machine Setter
• Experience working with dies, tooling and production machinery
• Manufacturing or metal production experience
• Ability to read and follow production instructions and basic drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a production environment
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
