Job summary

Edge Drilling Pty Ltd in Western Australia is seeking motivated Diamond, Sonic and Geotech Drillers, Trainee Drillers and Driller Assistants to join our high-performing teams on premier mining projects.

Reporting to the Drilling Supervisor, you will contribute to safe, productive operations across FIFO sites, with progression from trainee to senior roles and ongoing training, mentorship, and support from a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Drilling Operations (preferred).
• Proven Diamond, Sonic and/or Geotechnical Drilling experience.
• Strong safety leadership and risk management skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring crews.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Current HR or HC Driver's Licence (essential).
• White Card.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and ongoing drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop drilling industry skills under experienced mentors.
• Assist with daily drilling operations and rig maintenance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop offsides and Trainee Drillers.
• Manage daily drilling operations to maximise productivity and rig performance.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ systems and site requirements.
• Contribute to drill hole planning and operational reporting.
• Maintain relationships with clients and site representatives.
• Manage rig consumables, stock control and operational requirements.
• Conduct pre-starts, inspections, and basic equipment maintenance.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
• Ensure all drilling activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
