Job summary

EML in Sydney is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive automation, cloud infrastructure and secure software delivery. You will lead a DevOps team, develop engineering standards and coach engineers across AWS, Azure and on‑prem environments.

You will design and manage scalable infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, run containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and strengthen monitoring, incident response and security alignment with APRA CPS 234 and ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience with 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or cloud infrastructure
• 3+ years leading, supervising or mentoring a technical team
• Strong hands-on expertise across AWS and Azure hybrid environments
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Security-focused approach with cloud security frameworks and disaster recovery

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the DevOps team, set engineering standards and coach staff
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable releases
• Design and manage infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible
• Manage Kubernetes environments and containerised apps
• Strengthen monitoring, observability and incident response; partner with security teams
