Job summary

DevOps Engineers | Secure Technology Environments On-Site in Sydney is seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to strengthen infrastructure, automate deployments and improve application performance. You will work closely with development teams to support the technology stack from infrastructure through to applications.

This role requires 3+ years in DevOps, strong automation skills with Ansible, CloudFormation, AWS or Azure, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes in Agile delivery.

Our clients are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to strengthen infrastructure, automate deployments and improve application performance and reliability.

Working closely with development teams, you will support the technology stack from infrastructure through to applications.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment scripts, monitoring and logging tools.
• Integrate applications with infrastructure and supporting tooling.
• Implement security and access controls, auditing mechanisms, and compliance and governance measures.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise resources using Elasticsearch, APM, Beats and Kibana dashboards.
• Maintain infrastructure diagrams, deployment documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Contribute to Agile delivery through sprint planning, daily stand-ups and code reviews.

Desirable experience and qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in DevOps, software development or a related field.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Programming skills in Python, Java or C#.
• Experience with Ansible, CloudFormation, AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, with Kubernetes-based deployments highly regarded.
• Experience with Agile development and version control using Git and Bitbucket.
