Job summary

Powerdata Group Consulting in Canberra, Australia, is seeking highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineers to support secure, scalable platforms underpinning national security systems.

The role centers on delivering and operating DevOps pipelines, IaC, and observability, with emphasis on high-assurance environments and Defence security requirements.

You will mentor teams, create runbooks and align release practices with accreditation processes across Defence and intelligence domains.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, ICT, or equivalent
• 5+ years of senior-level DevOps and CI/CD delivery experience
• Strong experience with CI/CD design and automation, IaC and configuration management
• Systems integration and build automation
• Experience in high-assurance / regulated environments
• Experience with availability management, resilience, and disaster recovery
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in Defence, intelligence, or national security environments
• Familiarity with SFIA-aligned roles at Level 4–5
• Experience with systems requiring accreditation and operational resilience

Responsibilities

• Degree in Computer Science, ICT, or equivalent professional experience (5+ years)
  
• Demonstrated senior‑level experience delivering DevOps and CI/CD solutions in complex environments
  
• Strong experience with:
