Ascend Recruit Pty partners with a Brisbane-based developer to recruit a capable Project Manager. The role leads a varied SEQ pipeline across industrial, commercial, residential, and mixed-use precincts, from design through handover, in an inner city Brisbane setting.

You’ll work with a senior team, manage consultants and councils, control budgets and programs, and ensure safety, compliance, and quality across projects. The opportunity offers competitive remuneration in a dynamic, local market.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in project or development management.
• Experience delivering commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed-use projects across Southeast Queensland.
• Working knowledge of Queensland planning, building, and civil approval processes.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: deliver projects on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards from design through handover.
• Consultant & Stakeholder Management: brief, coordinate, and manage project consultants and support development applications with councils and agencies.
• Procurement & Contracts: run tendering and procurement for contractors and consultants, administer construction contracts.
• Financial & Program Control: control costs, variations, progress claims, and monthly reporting to align with feasibility.
• Risk & Compliance: manage safety, environmental, quality, and statutory compliance on-site.

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established, family-owned Brisbane property developer with over 30 years of history delivering premium projects across Southeast Queensland. Known for redefining overlooked land and heritage sites, they are expanding their delivery capacity within a small, senior team. Moving away from single-product silos, this role offers the chance to work across a varied, high-impact pipeline—including large-scale industrial precincts, mixed-use hubs, and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Accountable for delivering assigned projects on time, on budget, and to the group's high-quality standards from initial design through to practical completion and handover.
• Consultant & Stakeholder Management: Brief, coordinate, and manage project consultants (architects, civil, structural, services, planners, and environmental) and support development applications with council, state agencies, and utilities.
• Procurement & Contracts: Run tendering and procurement processes for contractors and consultants, preparing and administering construction contracts (e.g., AS 4000, D&C).
• Financial & Program Control: Control project costs, variations, progress claims, and monthly reporting, ensuring programs align with approved feasibility.
• Risk & Compliance: Manage safety, environmental, quality, and statutory compliance on-site while identifying and mitigating risks related to site conditions, remediation, and heritage constraints.

About You

• 6+ years of professional experience in project or development management gained client-side, within consulting, or on contractor teams.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed-use projects across Southeast Queensland.
• Strong command of financial budgets, programs, procurement frameworks, and standard construction contracts.
• Working knowledge of Queensland planning, building, and civil approval processes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Property, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on, commercially minded, and comfortable owning outcomes within a collaborative, senior team environment.
