Job summary

Queensland South Native Title Services (QSNTS) is seeking a Development and Engagement Coordinator to lead a team delivering culturally responsive development and engagement services for native title groups in the pre-determination phase.

Based in Brisbane, the role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and requires regular travel. Indigenous status is a genuine occupational requirement under applicable law.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations or governance structures.
  • Knowledge of Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) and Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth).
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work across disciplines.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and develop Development Officers and First Nations Engagement Advisors.
  • Allocate work, manage team capacity and monitor service standards and outcomes.
  • Deliver integrated, culturally informed, client-led services in collaboration with legal and anthropological teams.
  • Oversee the People, Place and Partnership Program planning, delivery and evaluation.
  • Ensure governance workshops and capability development initiatives are delivered consistently.
  • Build relationships with Traditional Owners, communities and Prescribed Bodies Corporate.
