Job summary

Connexus is seeking a Development Coordinator to drive a large aged care and retirement living redevelopment in the Illawarra region. You will coordinate the project across its full lifecycle, manage budgets and reporting, and support tendering and contract administration processes.

A $100 million+ seniors living redevelopment just got the green light. It includes the refurbishment of a 100+-bed care home.

A principal contractor is about to be appointed. Construction starts this year. Someone is going to coordinate that project from here through delivery, this is your shot at being that person.

You'd be joining an aged care and retirement living operator with a multi-decade footprint across the Illawarra and beyond, currently running this project alongside several large-scale homes nearby.

This isn't a developer that builds and sells - they hold and operate what they deliver, which means the projects you touch are built to last, not flipped for margin.

The organisation is investing in an in-house development team to manage this pipeline directly rather than outsourcing it, and that's exactly the seat you'd be stepping into.

Reporting to a Development Manager, you'll coordinate projects across the full lifecycle - programs, budgets, reporting and documentation, tender coordination and contract administration, DA and permit compliance, and stakeholder liaison with consultants, contractors and authorities.

You’ll sit close enough to the approvals process and the delivery team to understand how a project of this scale gets built, not just administer it from a distance.
