Job summary

ESR Group, a leader in Asia-Pacific real assets, seeks a Development Analyst to join our Melbourne team. You will support national development activities with financial analysis, feasibility modelling and reporting across a diverse project pipeline.

You will collaborate with Development, Funds Management and Finance to evaluate opportunities, improve data quality and drive efficient decision-making using technology and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Property, Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field.
• 2+ years' relevant experience in property/real estate or finance.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
• Commercially astute with ability to interpret and present complex financial/market information.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and review development feasibilities, cash flow models and scenario analysis.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including investor reports, budgets and reforecasts.
• Partner with Development, Funds Management and Finance teams to evaluate opportunities and project performance.
• Manage and enhance development databases, financial models and reporting tools.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology, automation and AI tools to improve efficiency.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and approach:

• Degree qualified in Property, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline, with 2+ years' relevant experience
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capability and exposure to property or real estate data
• Commercially astute with the ability to interpret and present complex financial and market information
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Curious and proactive mindset, with an interest in continuous improvement, technology and AI-enabled ways of working
