Job summary

Fazcon Pty Ltd is seeking a Developer Programmer to join our team on a hybrid basis. You will build data-driven applications and reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL, DAX and Power Query, translating business requirements into robust BI components.

You will work mostly from home with occasional office meetings, produce clear technical documentation, test logic, and collaborate in an Agile environment while growing your skills in a supportive, mentorship-rich setting.

Qualifications

• Australian degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
• Experience with SQL, DAX, M/Power Query.
• Experience with relational databases and cloud data platforms (Azure).

Responsibilities

• Interpret business requirements, technical designs and data flow specifications to build and modify BI/database application components.
• Construct technical specifications from business functional models provided by stakeholders. Build, maintain and modify code/logic for data applications — including SQL queries, DAX measures, and Power Query (M) transformations.
• Design and develop data models, relationships and calculated measures underpinning application reports.
• Test application logic and outputs against specifications, identifying and correcting defects.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions (data models, ETL logic, deployment notes).
• Support integration of application components across platforms (Power Platform, Azure data services).
• Participate in QA/testing cycles to ensure code and reporting solutions perform to specification.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate within an Agile development environment (sprints, stand-ups, backlog grooming).
• Attend client meetings in-office as required to gather requirements and present reporting solutions.

Job Description

FAZCON PTY LTD We are seeking a motivated Developer Programmer to join our growing team on a hybrid basis. In this role, you'll interpret business and technical specifications and build, maintain and modify data-driven applications and reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL, DAX and Power Query.

You'll construct technical specifications from business functional models, develop and test application logic, and produce clear technical documentation to support ongoing solution maintenance. This is primarily a work-from-home role, with occasional attendance at our office required for client meetings.

Task & responsibilities

Qualification & experience

Experience with SQL, DAX, M/Power Query. Experience building and testing application/reporting logic against technical specifications.

Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL) and cloud data platforms (Azure). Experience with Git or other version control systems. Experience with Agile software development practices. Australian degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent, with relevant Australian work experience.

Highly regarded (not essential): Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Power Automate or similar technologies. Kotlin/Swift or Android/iOS app development experience.
