Hudson AU is seeking a senior engineer to consolidate tooling ownership across the engineering org. You’ll build standardised repo templates, embed CI from day one, and drive artefact management so teams move faster.
Split your week between hands-on development in Java or .NET and leading a small engineering squad, guiding others in adopting AI-assisted development into production.
About 100 engineers at this business don't have one team owning their tooling, their repo standards, or how AI actually fits into their day-to-day. That's the gap this role closes.
It's not DevOps - DevOps keeps pipelines and environments running. You'll build the golden paths that make the whole engineering org faster: standardised repo templates, CI baked in from day one, artefact management that doesn't get in anyone's way. You'll also take the lead on AI-assisted development - one team's already run a pilot from requirements through to testing, and it's sitting there waiting for someone to get it into production properly.
Split your week roughly in half. About half your week will be hands-on, writing tooling in Java or .NET. The rest is leading a small team of engineers.
