Job summary

TechnologyOne is seeking a Developer to advance AI/ML capabilities within our enterprise SaaS platform in Brisbane. You will design features, write clean code and collaborate with product teams to deliver value to customers.

You will work with C#, Python and React, explore AI capabilities, test thoroughly and contribute to documentation and release notes. The role emphasizes quality, scalability, and security while staying curious and continuously learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proven software development experience with modern frameworks.
• Experience applying AI capabilities within software products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Development to design features and address technical complexities.
• Develop simple, elegant, reliable software that meets requirements and methodologies.
• Deliver user stories and bug fixes on time and to quality standards.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code focusing on performance, scalability and security.
• Develop and maintain understanding of the product, data model, design and architecture.
• Test the software during development to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests for enterprise-grade quality.
• Produce code documentation, release notes and artefacts as required.
• Participate in product showcases to inform stakeholders about new features.
• Stay up to date with technology trends and contribute ideas through prototypes.

In this role, you'll work closely with our Product Development team to design and deliver new features, solve technical challenges and continuously improve our products. You'll have the opportunity to work across modern technologies while developing a deep understanding of the product, its functionality, data, design and architecture.

What you'll be doing:

• Collaborate with Product Development team members to navigate product features and technical complexities.
• Develop simple, elegant and reliable software that meets product requirements and TechnologyOne’s development methodologies.
• Deliver user stories and bug fixes on time and to the required quality standards.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability and security.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the product, including its features, functions, data model, design and architecture.
• Personally use and test the software as it is being developed to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests to support enterprise-grade software quality.
• Produce high-quality code documentation, release notes and other development artefacts as required.
• Participate in Product Showcases to help inform and educate stakeholders about new software and features.
• Stay up to date with technology trends and contribute ideas through technical exploration, prototypes and tech spikes.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve development practices, processes and efficiency.
• Proven experience in Software Development, with a passion for building high-quality software.
• Proficiency in C#, Python and React, with the ability to apply these technologies in product development.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and practical experience applying AI capabilities within software products.
• Strong understanding of software development practices, with a focus on quality, performance, scalability and security.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate technical challenges effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with product team members and stakeholders.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies and development practices.
• English proficiency equivalent to IELTS Band 9 (formal certification is not required).
• Experience developing enterprise software would be highly desirable.
