Job summary

BlueScope in Australia is looking for a Despatch Operator to join our Acacia Ridge Manufacturing facility. This fast-paced warehousing role directly supports delivery performance for Australian Steel Products.

You will load and unload with a gantry crane and RF scanners, despatch orders to schedule, and coordinate with truck drivers while maintaining safety. The role offers overtime, a rostered monthly RDO, 14% superannuation, and health programs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a gantry crane and mobile equipment.

• Observe proper loading processes to protect product quality during transport.

The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join ourSupply Chain Team at ourAcacia RidgeManufacturing facility as aDespatch Operator. In this fast-paced site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.

Working in our warehousing distribution centre, our Despatch Team Members are responsible for ensuring that our products are safely loaded and unloaded for transportation to our customers. In this varied position, you will also be responsible for other aspects of our supply chain logistics including administration, coordination and planning.

What Will You Do?

Whilst ensuring the safety of yourself and your co-workers, the main responsibilities include, however will not be limited to you will:

• undertake the training required be able to carry out a variety of tasks
• load and unload trucks using a gantry crane and mobile equipment
• use radio frequency scanners to pick shipments and maintain accurate inventory levels
• despatch customer orders as per the delivery schedule
• liaise and interact with supporting team members and truck drivers
• observe correct loading processes to ensure the quality of product is maintained during transport
