Job summary

Auto & General is seeking a Desktop Assessor to manage end-to-end claims for insured properties, determining damage causes and repair costs with a focus on service quality. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in insurance, building or construction is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service and supplier relationship management experience.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced high pressure environments.
  • Ability to prepare scope of works, quotes and estimations is advantageous.
  • Confident using technology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports.
  • Produce detailed reports, determine cause, coverage, damage and best repair methods.
  • Review scope of works and expert reports to ensure cost-effective repairs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including local authorities and third-party building surveyors.
  • Negotiate and define the scope of work and associated costing with key stakeholders.
  • End to end claim management with the Claims Operations Team, ensuring KPI adherence.
  • Submit reports and review SOWs and documentation within SLAs.

Reporting to the Home Assessing Team Leader, the Desktop Assessor is responsible for the end-to-end management of allocated claims. You will establish the cause of damage as well as determining the scope and cost of repair to insured properties, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.

This position is based full-time at our “Sunshine," office

Responsibilities
  • Conduct desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by our panel suppliers;
  • Produce detailed reports, determine cause, coverage, damage and best repair methods;
  • Review scope of works and expert reports to ensure the most cost effective and timely method of repairs;
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including; local authorities and third-party building surveyors.
  • Negotiate and define the scope of work and associated costing with key stakeholders;
  • End to end claim management, managing a range of cost, quality and service controls in conjunction with the Claims Operations Team.
  • To achieve consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPI)
  • Submitting reports, reviewing SOW’s and documentation in a timely manner (as per set SLA’s)
