Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking a Quantitative Support Analyst to join the Quants team. This hands-on, desk-facing role sits between Options traders, Quants, Business Operations and Technology, providing functional support for the Options trading system and related front office workflows.

You’ll support BAU processes, automate tasks, and elevate development work with Python. The role involves collaboration with London stakeholders and a strong focus on quantitative trading strategies and analytics.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, computer science or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in front office or trading application support in financial markets.
• Strong mathematical understanding of time series analysis and statistics.
• Experience with trading systems and related technology platforms.
• Proficient Python scripting to read, debug and enhance scripts.

Responsibilities

• Provide desk-facing functional and technical support for the Options trading system and related workflows.
• Investigate and resolve trading system, workflow, data and user issues.
• Liaise with Technology and Trading teams to explain, implement and debug trading strategies.
• Develop and maintain tactical Python scripts and support tools.
• Design, monitor and back test quantitative trading strategies.
• Gather requirements from Front Office users and shape practical workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with London-based stakeholders with clear communication and escalation.
