Job summary

Greenvale Secondary College, a growing Victorian government school, seeks a classroom teacher for Year 7–11. You will deliver quality teaching to diverse learners, integrate literacy and numeracy, and use data to inform instruction to drive student growth. You will collaborate with families, staff and the wider community to build a positive school culture.

You will also work on curriculum development, mentoring, and may supervise student teachers while supporting school policies and priorities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to plan for and implement high-impact teaching strategies.
• Proficiency in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the school.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
