DT Infrastructure in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead the electrical design delivery across the Majors Creek Project lifecycle, coordinating with the project team, design consultants and construction teams.

You will ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, constructible and delivered to project requirements, while guiding interfaces with civil and structural disciplines and supporting procurement, construction and commissioning.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join our Brisbane team, supporting the delivery of the Majors Creek Project.

In this Brisbane-based role, you will provide technical leadership across the electrical design scope, working closely with the project team, design consultants and construction teams to ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, constructible and delivered to project requirements.

Be part of one of North Queensland’s major renewable energy projects, right on Townsville’s doorstep and on the traditional lands of the Bindal People. Located near Woodstock, approximately 40km south of Townsville, the Majors Creek Project is being delivered by DT Infrastructure for Edify Energy.

The project forms part of a major solar and battery storage energy development that will deliver renewable generation and large-scale battery storage to support Queensland’s future energy needs. With construction expected to create around 400 jobs and significant investment flowing through local businesses and suppliers, Majors Creek is creating exciting opportunities for the Townsville region.

Key Responsibilities

Profile description

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical design on major infrastructure or renewable projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems across solar, BESS or energy infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead consultants and manage complex technical interfaces.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
