Job summary

WSP Australia’s Building Structures group is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with 2–5 years’ experience to help deliver iconic high-rise and complex building projects. You’ll join a national, autonomous team and work on BIM-enabled design and on-site coordination with clients.

This role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to local standards (AS, NCC), and opportunities to grow across markets. Flexible working options and a supportive benefits program are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor to Masters’ level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 2–5 years of industry experience on Australian building projects.
• Experience with Australian Building and Property sector standards.
• Knowledge of AS, NCC and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Work on iconic structural engineering projects within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Support the wider national teams when opportunities arise.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery within technical, commercial and regulatory standards.

What you’ll do:

• Have the opportunity to work on iconic projects within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of structural engineering projects

• Support the wider team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents

• Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be committed to team approach and outcomes

• Provide ongoing continuous improvement and development inputs to create more efficient workflows within the team

About You

• Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering);

• 2-5 years industry experience on building projects within Australia , in the commercial, retail, defence, health or education sectors.

• Demonstrated experience working on Australian projects within the Building and Property sector.

• Sound working knowledge of relevant local Standards and Codes (AS, NCC etc.);

• Solid proficiency in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete;

• Experience with executing BIM and 3D modelling project delivery methods

• Familiarity with working with point cloud surveys would be highly regarded

• Able to work remotely on client’s sites liaising directly with the client to deliver the most appropriate engineering solution
