Job summary

Melbourne City Dermatology in the Melbourne CBD is seeking a full-time Dermatology Fellow to join our postgraduate supervised training program with an immediate start.

The role offers exposure to a broad dermatology caseload with a strong emphasis on skin cancer diagnosis and management, biopsies, and excisional procedures, supported by a dedicated nursing and admin team.

Applicants should be motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a clinically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), or equivalent recognized specialist dermatology qualification.
• Solid grounding in general dermatology and skin cancer medicine with procedural competency.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a consistent patient load.
• Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal.
• Pragmatic, patient-focused approach aligned with private practice expectations.

Responsibilities

• Consulting independently across general dermatology and skin cancer presentations.
• Assessing and managing patients in a high-volume clinic setting.
• Performing biopsies and excisional procedures appropriate to experience.
• Participating in melanoma and high-risk patient surveillance.
• Preparing clear, concise correspondence to referring practitioners.
• Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation.
• Working closely with nursing and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic flow.
