Job summary

St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School in Glenelg, Adelaide, is seeking an experienced Deputy Principal to join the Executive Leadership Team and lead across ELC-Year 6. This permanent, full-time role shapes pastoral care, teaching and learning, staff and student wellbeing, and day-to-day operations.

• Develop, coordinate and monitor curriculum and pedagogy across all learning areas.
• Work closely with the Principal and Heads of School to ensure excellence in primary education.
• Contribute to strategic planning and ongoing development of the School.
• Participate in budget preparation, staff recruitment and School Council reporting.
• Deputise for the Principal and provide leadership across the School as required.
• Contribute to the Anglican ethos and Christian life of St Peter’s Woodlands.

About the Role

This is a Permanent Full-Time Leadership Position. The Deputy Principal, reports directly to the Principal and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing high-level leadership across ELC-Year 6.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced educational leader to make a genuine and lasting contribution to the pastoral care, teaching and learning, staff and student wellbeing and day-to-day operations of one of the leading primary schools in South Australia.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team you will:

You are an experienced school leader who is positive, approachable and deeply committed to the wellbeing and development of young learners.

You will bring:

• A proven track record of leadership in a school setting, ideally at senior level
• Experience developing, implementing and reviewing curriculum and leading pedagogy
• Experience coordinating activities across multiple year levels
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills
• Sound judgement, integrity and the ability to lead and manage change effectively
• A genuine commitment to contributing to the Christian life of a school in the Anglican tradition
• A collaborative leadership style and the ability to aspire and bring people with you.
