Job summary

Thales in Australia is seeking a maintenance leader for our Mulwala operations, focusing on safe and reliable production of defence-related components. You will mentor a high-performing team and coordinate maintenance, planning and contractor activities to meet targets.

The role emphasizes driving HSE compliance, asset management, and continuous improvement across maintenance and IWT operations, with strong use of CMMS and MS Office to support decision making.

Qualifications

• Trade or Engineering qualification with significant maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial or similarly complex environment.
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering maintenance programs.
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance and reliability methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience using CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team with focus on safety and compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance and IWT activities and resources to achieve production targets, asset reliability and contractual commitments.
• Drive HSE compliance and asset management best practices across maintenance and IWT operations, and contractor activities.
• Manage maintenance systems and planning processes.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, incident investigations and corrective actions to enhance operational outcomes.
