Job summary

Macquarie University is seeking a Deputy Dean, Education and Employability, Faculty of Science & Engineering, to lead the faculty’s education strategy and raise teaching standards across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. You will report to the Executive Dean and drive the Our Education pillar of the FSE Strategy 2026–2030, turning priorities into tangible actions and measurable outcomes.

Senior academic leader with deep understanding of undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Clear vision for the future of education with strategy implementation ability.
Proven record in teaching and research and in delivering strategic initiatives.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills to move agendas forward.

Responsibilities

Lead development and delivery of the faculty’s learning and teaching plans, educational activities and teaching quality.
Drive implementation of the Our Education pillar of the FSE Strategy 2026–2030, turning priorities into actions.
Lead initiatives that raise teaching standards, enrich the student experience and improve graduate outcomes.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with Heads of School, Directors of Education and Deputy Deans.
Work with the Deputy Vice‑Chancellor and other portfolios to advance the University’s educational mission and graduate employability.
