ConnectSydney is seeking a Depot & Logistics Coordinator to manage depot, yard, warehouse, inventory and logistics activities in Rockdale, NSW. You will ensure safe, accurate and timely receipt, storage, distribution and control of materials and fleet resources supporting Civil and ITS maintenance operations.

Ideal candidates bring warehousing experience, Civil maintenance exposure, and licences (MR and forklift). Strong communication and time management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous logistical experience within yard or warehousing operations.
• Experience within Civil maintenance activities or electrical distribution environments.
• MR Truck Licence.
• Forklift Licence.
• Computer literacy (basic software, emails).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain efficient storage facilities (yard and warehouse).
• Maintain a tidy, safe, organised and efficient depot and storage environment.
• Process inbound and outbound goods receipting.
• Pick/assemble material packs for field crews daily and log returns.
• Provide Logistics / courier services to Supervisors as requested.
• Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies and quarry materials.
• Assist Civil and ITS maintenance teams with depot activities.
• Support Depot and Fleet manager with fleet related activities.

Job Description Summary

ConnectSydney are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Depot & Logistics Coordinator to join our Rockale team! About the Role ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. The Depot & Logistics Coordinator position is integral to manage and maintain the efficient operation of depot, yard, warehouse, inventory, and logistics activities. This will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, distribution, and control of materials, equipment, and fleet-related resources that support ConnectSydney's Civil and ITS maintenance operations, while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, operational excellence, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain efficient, well-ordered storage facilities (yard and warehouse)
• Maintain a tidy, safe, organised and efficient depot and storage environments
• Implement and maintain accurate inbound and outbound goods receipting procedures.
• Pick/Assemble material job packs for field crews on a daily basis and ensure returns are logged and stored accurately and efficiently
• Provide Logistics / courier services to all supervisors as and when requested
• Oversee inventory management and ordering of both supplies and quarry materials to always ensure appropriate quantities for all work activities.
• Assist Civil and ITS maintenance teams with depot activities
• Support Depot and Fleet manager with fleet related activities

About You

• Previous logistical experience within yard or warehousing operations
• Experience within Civil maintenance activities or electrical distribution environments
• Previous experience utilising Warehouse Management Systems e.g. SAP
• Fundamental experience with order receivals and put-away processes
• Previous inventory stocktake experience
• MR Truck Licence
• Forklift Licence
• Computer literacy
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Telehandler Gold Card (desirable)
