Make a real difference in your community.

We are seeking Dentists to join Better Health Network across our four dental sites. Whether you’re building your clinical experience or bringing advanced skills, this is an opportunity to provide person-centred care and help improve access to oral health services. Our roles span general dental care through to complex treatment, clinical guidance and mentoring.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Better Health Network supports people and families at different stages of life and works with communities to strengthen health and wellbeing. We believe that better health and wellbeing is built around community.

About the roles

Joining our Oral Health team, you’ll provide care to adults and children, combining prevention, education and treatment. You’ll work alongside dental and other health professionals to respond to each client’s needs and support continuity of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing oral health needs, diagnosing conditions and developing individual care plans.
  • Providing general dental treatment within your scope of practice and experience.
  • Helping clients understand their oral health and make informed decisions about care.
  • Coordinating referrals and working with other providers.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and following infection prevention and safety requirements.
  • Contributing to quality improvement and effective team-based care.
  • For Level 3 opportunities, you’ll also bring advanced clinical skills to complex presentations, mentor Level 1 and 2 dentists, support student supervision and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
About you

You’ll take a practical, respectful approach to care and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. You’ll communicate clearly, work collaboratively and recognise when to seek advice or refer clients for additional support.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Dentist.
  • Clinical skills appropriate to the level of the position.
  • A commitment to evidence-based, person-centred care.
  • Sound knowledge of infection prevention and control.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and clinical record-keeping skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Applicants for Level 3 roles will also need significant clinical experience, advanced treatment skills and experience contributing to clinical program development, implementation and evaluation.

At BHN, you’ll join a values-driven organisation that genuinely cares about its people and the communities it serves. We offer:

  • Salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay.
  • Professional development and learning opportunities.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
