Job summary

Primary Dental is seeking an experienced Dental State Manager to lead NSW operations from our Sydney head office. You will drive operational excellence, financial performance, clinical governance and employee engagement across multiple centres.

As a key leader, you will support Dental Coordinators, assistants, and Dentists to deliver outstanding patient experiences while achieving strategic objectives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Mandatory dental industry experience.
• Experience in multi-site business and people leadership.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Proven ability to drive operational performance and growth.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and change management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Dental Managers, Coordinators and centre teams.
• Drive operational performance, consistency and continuous improvement across the State.
• Deliver State financial targets including growth, profitability and cost management.
• Monitor and improve key business metrics including chair utilisation, patient numbers, recalls and booking rates.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, accreditation and quality standards.
• Implement State strategies aligned to business objectives and growth plans.
• Build strong relationships with Dentists, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on employee engagement, retention and development.
• Support service excellence initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and retention.
• Partner with internal stakeholders including People & Culture, Finance and Operations teams.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Dental State Manager to lead our dental operations across New South Wales. Reporting to theDirector of Dental, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, clinical governance, and employee engagement across multiple dental centres. This is a permanent full-time role based in our Sydney head office.

As a key leader within the business, you will support Dental Coordinators, assistants, and Dentists to deliver outstanding patient experiences while achieving strategic and commercial objectives. The Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Dental Managers, Coordinators and centre teams

The Successful Candidate

• Previous experience within the dental industry (mandatory)
• Proven experience in multi-site business and people leadership
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance and business growth
• Exceptional leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing abilities
• Strong problem-solving, project management and change management skills
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer and employee experiences
