Job summary

Complete Family Dental in Quakers Hill, NSW is seeking a skilled Dental Technician to fabricate, modify and repair dental prostheses and oral appliances. You will work closely with dentists to produce accurate, functional and aesthetically pleasing appliances while upholding laboratory quality and safety standards.

The role requires a relevant qualification in dental technology and at least one year of hands-on experience in denture fabrication and oral appliance work.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in dental technology or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of practical experience in dental prosthesis fabrication, modification and repair.
• Sound knowledge of dental materials, denture construction, tooth arrangement and occlusion.
• Competence in using dental laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and commitment to quality.
• Ability to interpret dentist prescriptions and follow technical instructions.
• Effective communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with dentists and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare models, casts and components for denture fabrication.
• Construct dentures and appliances, including tooth arrangement, finishing and polishing.
• Fabricate removable orthodontic appliances and mouthguards.
• Handle dental materials and maintain hygiene and safety.
• Use articulators to set jaw relationships and occlusion.
• Repair, reline and modify dentures per dentist instructions.
• Inspect work for accuracy and conformity with specs.
• Maintain records and meet deadlines.
• Operate lab instruments and equipment.
• Maintain clean, infection-control compliant workspace.
• Collaborate with dentists and team members.
