Job summary

Lincoln Road Dental in Essendon is a friendly, established three-chair practice seeking a Dental Receptionist/Assistant for two days (Mon and Fri) or four days (Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri).This varied role blends front desk duties with chairside support, contributing to a smooth, patient-centred operation.

The successful candidate will have dental reception or assisting experience, strong communication, and be comfortable working across both front-of-house and clinical tasks within a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental reception and/or dental assisting (essential).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy practice.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing excellent front desk service.
• Managing appointments, patient enquiries, payments and recalls.
• Coordinating appointment books to support efficient clinical workflows.
• Providing chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists as required.
• Maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation.
• Preparing surgeries and anticipating clinicians' needs.
• Supporting the wider team with daily practice operations and administration
