Job summary

1300SMILES Dentists on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a friendly receptionist to join our front-of-house and clinical team. You’ll welcome patients, manage appointments, handle payments and reception administration, and assist dentists during procedures.

This role offers variety across reception and dental assisting, with 3–5 days per week. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, sterilise equipment, keep areas tidy, and help the team ensure a warm, smooth patient journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental reception is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly and approachable personality.
• Good attention to detail and organisation in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn and help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and creating a warm, friendly experience.
• Managing appointments, phone calls and patient enquiries.
• Handling payments and general reception administration.
• Assisting dentists during procedures.
• Preparing and setting up treatment rooms.
• Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining clinical areas.
• Supporting the team to keep the practice running smoothly.
• Helping patients feel comfortable and well looked after.
