Job summary

Maven Dental Hervey Bay is seeking a friendly, organised, and patient-focused Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our Urraween team. The role is mainly reception, being the first point of contact and helping create a positive patient experience while also supporting instrument sterilisation and the clinical team when needed.

You'll work across reception and clinical areas on Monday, Thursday and Saturday with additional shifts to cover team leave and practice growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental assisting or reception is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Team player in a busy practice.
• Willingness to learn across both clinical and reception areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials.
• Clean and sterilise instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Support patients through their appointment and help them feel comfortable.
• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional service at reception.
• Answer patient enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete general administrative tasks.
