Job summary

Dentistry by Design Balmain, a Bupa affiliated clinic in New South Wales, seeks a Dental Assistant to assist with clinical procedures, maintain infection control, and keep treatment rooms sterile and ready for patient care.

The role requires strong chair-side skills, X-ray support, and organisational abilities; Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is highly regarded but not essential. Working hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7.30am to 5.15pm.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dental Assistant or a genuine willingness to learn.
• Strong chair-side assistance skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays.
• Ability to clean, prepare and maintain treatment rooms and equipment in line with infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures and ensure infection control standards are maintained.
• Prepare, sterilise and organise treatment rooms and instruments for patient care.
• Support appointment scheduling and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
