Job summary

Mends Street Dental in South Perth is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our modern 4-chair practice on a full-time basis, Monday to Saturday with Tuesdays off. Our team is supportive and patient-centred, delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

You will assist with patient management, preparation and sterilisation of instruments, and help maintain a clean, organised treatment area while supporting dentists and hygienists.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential.
• A Cert III or Cert IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for procedures and ensure comfort.
• Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise instruments, assist dentist during examinations and procedures, maintain a clean treatment area.
• Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies and keep the treatment room well-stocked.
• Patient Education: Provide post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene guidance.
• Billing and Insurance: Assist with billing inquiries and payment plans as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work with dentists, hygienists and staff for smooth workflow.
• Compliance: Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
