Job summary

Bupa Dental Deakin is looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to support clinicians and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment in Canberra. The role involves chair-side assistance, infection control, and efficient room preparation.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of Australian Dental Assistant experience, with four-handed dentistry and x-ray procedure familiarity. Parking is onsite and excellent public transport access is available for staff.

Qualifications

• Ideally 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant in Australia.
• Experience with four-handed dentistry highly regarded.
• Chair-side assistance for dental professionals during treatment.
• Assist in x-ray procedures with knowledge of instrumentation.
• Follow infection control standards and practice safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of safe clinical care and procedures.
• Ensure infection control standards and sterilisation practices.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and equipment between patients.
• Manage appointment schedules including booking and confirmations.
