Job summary

NSW Health in Mount Druitt is seeking a Dental Assistant Grade 1 to support clinicians across mobile and fixed clinic settings. You will prepare equipment, assist chairside and help maintain patient comfort during procedures.

Based at Mount Druitt Hospital Dental Clinic as part of the Western Sydney Local Health District Oral Health team, you will travel to schools and community sites to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Prepare dental equipment, instruments and materials, assist chairside and support patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, including PPE, waste disposal, instrument reprocessing and sterilisation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and digital data using NSW Health and Oral Health systems.

Responsibilities

• As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting clinicians to deliver safe, efficient and compassionate dental care in both mobile and fixed clinic environments.
• Travel between Western Sydney locations, assisting with the safe transport, assembly and pack-down of portable dental equipment.
• Contribute to team meetings, training, oral health promotion and preventative programs, while supporting trainees and new team members.

Work from the Mount Druitt Dental Clinic while supporting mobile and outreach services across Western Sydney.

Visit schools, hospitals, residential homes and other community locations as part of the Mobile Dental Program.
