Job summary

Bupa Dental Australia Fair Southport is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant – Receptionist to provide a high-quality front-office experience, oversee patient appointments, billing, payments and records, while supporting clinical care delivery.

This casual, rostered role requires chair-side assistance, infection control, and able to manage appointment schedules; you will engage with patients and contribute to a professional, welcoming practice that values health, education, and patient wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Provide chair-side assistance for dental procedures, including suction, instrument passing and materials
• Clean and prepare treatment rooms and instruments following infection control standards
• Adhere to service quality, WHS policies and Bupa procedures
• Operate with a medium level of accountability
• Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations and confirmations

Responsibilities

• Front-office duties: manage patient appointments, billing, payments and records
• Support clinical care delivery and patient education in dental health
• Maintain a professional, welcoming reception for all patients
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain privacy and accurate charting in the practice management system
