Bytes Dental in Goonellabah, NSW, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist, keep the workflow efficient and provide friendly patient care. The role includes assisting with cleanings, fillings, repairs and minor surgery, plus sterilisation and light reception duties.

Initially casual to fill shifts in Goonellabah and Ballina, with potential for 4-5 days a week from January 2027, and full-time hours for the right candidate in 2027.

Qualifications

• Fast thinking, efficiency and organisational skills required to work under time pressures in a dental practice.
• Australian work rights are required for this position.
• Having a car is ideal to work between two locations, but the job is primarily in Goonellabah.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments for the dentist.
• Maintain infection control standards and sterilisation of equipment.
• Assist the dentist with cleaning, fillings, repairs and minor surgery.
• Handle light reception duties (appointments).
• Some Saturdays may be required.
