Job summary

Dr Chau Dental Surgeons in Hobart is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our established practice. You’ll provide chairside assistance, patient care and comfort, infection control, and help ensure smooth day-to-day running of the clinic across Hobart and Rosny Park.

This full-time role features a 9-day fortnight for great work‑life balance; part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred; willingness to learn.
• Friendly and approachable with strong communication skills.
• Well organized with good time management and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.
• Comfortable using computers and learning practice management systems.
• Reliable, motivated and committed to patient care.
• Hold a current Tasmanian WWVP registration, or be willing to obtain one.

Are you an enthusiastic and patient-focused Dental Assistant looking to join a welcoming and established practice? Dr Chau Dental Surgeons is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join their team.

This is a full-time position offering a 9-day fortnight, providing a great work-life balance. Part-time arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about creating a positive experience for every patient.

Job Description

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include chairside assisting, patient care and comfort, infection control, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Your Role Will Involve:

• Assisting dentists and dental hygienists in a variety of treatment procedures.
• Setting up and sterilising dental instruments and equipment.
