Job summary

Sunshine Smiles Dental Coolum Beach is seeking two dedicated Dental Assistants/Receptionists to join our busy practice on the Sunshine Coast. You will support dentists and hygienists, manage front-of-house duties, and ensure smooth clinic operations.

Ideal candidates have dental assisting and reception experience; Certificate III is preferred but training support is available. Work mornings or afternoons, with 4–5 days a week, in a friendly coastal setting.

About the Role: We are seeking two dedicated Dental Assistants/Receptionists to join our dynamic team at our thriving dental practice. In this role, you will provide essential support to our dentists and hygienists, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow and front of house operations on reception. Located just a short walk from main Coolum Beach and surrounded by boutique cafes, you can spend your lunch break in a cafe, going for a walk along the beach or enjoy lunch along the ocean's edge. This role is perfect for someone based on the Sunshine Coast who is looking for 4-5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with a team of dental professionals to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Knowledge of front of house administration such as taking HICAPS payments, eftpos payment, appointment book management, answering phone calls, etc.

Knowledge of chair side duties, including materials, instruments, and setting up for different clinical procedures, including implants, crown, and bridge, root canal therapy, etc.

Understand and comply with infection control and sterilisation procedures to a high standard.

Excellent patient management skills, including comforting patients during procedures and handling patient phone calls when required.

Excellent communication skills with other staff members.

Essential skills required for this position:

Positive work attitude and excellent work ethic.

Experience in dental assisting and reception, Certificate III preferred, however, not compulsory to be successful candidate. We will support the right applicant in completing the required training if necessary.
