We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join the team at the Dubbo Community Dental Clinic. This role provides chairside assistance to dental clinicians and general support to the dental team, including instrument reprocessing, infection control, reception, and administrative duties. You will play an important role in delivering high quality oral health services and ensuring a positive experience for patients across a variety of clinical settings.
Based in Dubbo, the Community Dental Clinic operates six dental chairs and provides outreach services to rural communities and schools through both fixed and mobile clinics. The successful applicant will assist with a broad range of dental procedures, maintain high infection control standards, support administrative functions, and participate in outreach services that may involve long-distance travel and occasional overnight stays. This position works a 9-day fortnight with no weekend work, offering an excellent work-life balance.
To be successful, you will hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) and/or have significant recent experience as a Dental Assistant. You will demonstrate strong chairside assisting skills, sound knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing safe, patient-centred care. A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel are essential.
