Dementia Support Australia, in partnership with HammondCare, is seeking a Dementia Support Coach to deliver hands-on, evidence-based support across diverse care settings. The role involves on-site visits, remote support, modelling and reflective dialogue to build workforce capability in respite dementia care.
You will collaborate with staff, leaders and stakeholders to ensure relevant, context-specific support, aligning with service needs and DREAM modules.

Dementia Support Australia, with the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, delivers the DREAM project to build workforce capability in respite dementia care. DREAM Dementia Support Coaches work with staff in community and residential aged care through on-site visits, remote support, observation, modelling, and reflective dialogue. They provide tailored education based on DREAM modules, delivering both group sessions and individual mentoring. Coaches collaborate with staff, leaders, and stakeholders to ensure support is relevant, context-specific, and aligned with service needs. The role requires autonomy, adaptability, and a strong commitment to person-centred, psychosocial dementia support. This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until June 2028. This role can be based out of either our Chermside QLD or Malvern VIC offices!
