Job summary

Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking an experienced Night Duty Care Worker to provide compassionate, person-centred care in our dementia community at North Parramatta. You will support residents to maintain independence, dignity and quality of life, working closely with the leadership team to deliver high standards of care.

You will bring Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, dementia care experience, and strong communication to build trust with residents, families and colleagues in a demanding but rewarding

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting residents living with dementia in a residential aged care setting.
• Ability to provide person-centred care in a high-care dementia environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and mobility support.
• Assist residents during mealtimes and with activities of daily living.
• Support medication assistance and simple wound care where required.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and provide emotional support and companionship.
• Support residents living with dementia using person-centred approaches that promote dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.
