HammondCare's Dementia Support Australia program is recruiting a Dementia Consultant to support people living with dementia across acute and aged care settings in Adelaide. You will apply biopsychosocial approaches, provide practical non-pharmacological strategies and collaborate with families, carers and clinical staff to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy and ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities across disciplines.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Support families, carers and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts individuals.
• Equip carers and clinicians to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through coaching and resources.
• Synthesize information from assessments to provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Develop contextual reports to improve quality of life for people with dementia.
• Collaborate with the Dementia Support Australia team to build capability across care sectors.
• Contribute to research, projects and programs, and take on other assignments as needed.
