IXOM is seeking a Demand & Supply Planner to lead integrated planning for its Trading portfolio in Melbourne. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Account Managers and Supply Chain stakeholders to build robust forecasts, translate them into actionable supply plans, and improve planning maturity across the organisation.

Based in Melbourne, the role balances customer requirements, supplier constraints, inventory targets and working capital goals while supporting service outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in demand planning, supply planning or related discipline.
• Experience using planning tools beyond Excel (Maestro, SAP) and strong stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with mature S&OP/IBP processes and SAP master data.

Play a key role in shaping demand and supply decisions across a global trading portfolio.

At IXOM, we're behind many of the products and services that keep industries and communities running every day. As we continue our journey from Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) towards Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and due to a recent internal promotion, we're looking for a Demand & Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain team and help drive planning excellence across our Trading business.

This is an opportunity to move beyond spreadsheets and become a true business partner, working closely with Product Managers, Account Managers and Supply Chain stakeholders to build accurate forecasts, develop executable supply plans and improve planning maturity across the organisation.

About your role

This role is responsible for leading the integrated demand, supply and inventory planning process for IXOM's Trading business. You'll work with commercial teams to build robust demand plans, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate market intelligence into practical supply decisions.

Working across both operational and tactical planning horizons, you'll help balance customer requirements, supplier constraints, inventory targets and working capital objectives while supporting strong customer service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly demand and supply planning cycle for the Trading portfolio.


• Partner with Product Managers and Account Managers to develop accurate and achievable demand plans.


• Translate demand forecasts into executable supply and replenishment plans.


• Monitor forecast accuracy, inventory performance and material availability.


• Identify supply constraints, inventory risks and improvement opportunities.


• Support S&OP and IBP processes through analysis, recommendations and decision support.


• Maintain planning master data and planning parameters within SAP.


• Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, planning and inventory management processes.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience in demand planning, supply planning, or a related planning discipline.


• Experience using planning tools beyond Excel, such as Maestro, SAP, or similar platforms.


• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.


• Understanding of what good planning processes look like, ideally gained within a mature S&OP or IBP environment.


• Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills and commercial acumen.


• Curiosity, drive and a willingness to learn and improve existing processes.

Highly regarded:

• Experience across both demand and supply planning.


• Exposure to Maestro or similar planning platforms.


• Tertiary qualification coupled with APICS certification or related supply chain qualifications.
