Job summary

BCF in Strathpine is seeking a commercially-minded Demand Planner to own forecasting and inventory across camping categories, partnering with Category Managers and Merchandise Planners to keep stores, online channels and customers stocked.

You’ll drive forecast accuracy, manage weekly orders, collaborate across Retail, Digital and Supply Chain, and bring actionable insights to optimize stock and availability.

• Own demand forecasting and inventory planning for high-volume camping categories.

• Manage replenishment planning and weekly local/import orders; identify risks.

Due to internal progression BCF are on the hunt for a commercially minded Demand Planner to join our team, supporting key camping categories including drinkware, shelter, cooking, dining and shade. Working alongside Category Managers, Merchandise Planners and cross-functional teams, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our stores, online channels and customers never miss out on the gear they need for their next adventure.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own demand forecasting and inventory planning for a portfolio of high-volume camping categories, balancing customer availability with inventory productivity.
• Drive forecast accuracy through analysis of sales trends, promotional performance, new product launches and market influences.
• Manage replenishment planning, reviewing and placing weekly local and import orders while proactively identifying supply risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Category Management, Merchandise Planning, Retail, Digital and Supply Chain stakeholders to align planning decisions with commercial objectives.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations that improve availability, optimise stock investment and enhance customer experience.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in Demand Planning, Merchandise Planning or a similar inventory-focused planning role.
• Strong forecasting capability and confidence managing large SKU portfolios, promotions and seasonal demand.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting data to make commercially sound decisions.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams and build strong working relationships.
• A proactive approach, high level of accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
• A passion for retail, outdoor adventures or camping products will be highly regarded.
