Job summary

Pacific Energy, an Australian leader in renewable energy, seeks an experienced Delivery Manager to lead a portfolio of projects from our Perth base.

Reporting to the General Manager - Projects, you will develop high-performing teams, manage scope, schedule, budget and safety, and deliver outcomes across the business. This role offers flexible working arrangements, including a nine-day fortnight and up to two work-from-home days per week, and the chance to shape Australia's energy future.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading project portfolios and teams across complex projects.
  • Strong PM knowledge, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and procurement.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Delivery Manager to join our Projects team. Reporting to the General Manager - Projects, this client facing role will lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects while driving performance, commercial outcomes and project excellence across the business.

Based in Kewdale, this role offers flexible working arrangements, including a nine-day fortnight and up to two work-from-home days per week.

About the Role

As a Delivery Manager, you will lead a team of high performing project professionals who are accountable for the end to end management of projects across the Pacific Energy Australian portfolio. You will establish constructive working relationships with clients, and provide leadership and support to Project Managers and their delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

You will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, commercial and operational objectives, while fostering a customer focused culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support your project group to successfully deliver projects across scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety objectives.
  • Manage project performance, financial outcomes, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules and delivery activities to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee project planning, risk management and project reporting processes.
  • Manage contractual obligations and commercial requirements to minimise business risk and maximise project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Champion Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) compliance in line with company standards and ISO requirements.
  • Facilitate project reviews, milestone workshops and work-in-progress (WIP) meetings.
  • Prepare and present project and portfolio reports to senior leadership with a high degree of accuracy and confidence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, team development and establish a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.

You are a commercially astute and people-focused leader with strong project delivery experience and a passion for developing high-performing teams. You bring strategic thinking, sound commercial judgement and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading project portfolios and leading high performing teams across complex projects or programs in power generation, mining, construction or heavy industry.
  • Engineering or Trade qualification, with PMP, CPPM or equivalent Project Management certification highly regarded.
  • Strong project management knowledge, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement and stakeholder management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
  • Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling and resource management.
  • Proven experience managing contractual requirements and mitigating project and business risks.
  • Experience leading Health, Safety, Environment and Quality initiatives, with knowledge of ISO and OHSE requirements.
  • Highly developed leadership, coaching and people management skills, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement initiatives and support business transformation.
  • Proficiency in project management systems and digital tools.
