Job summary

R & J Batteries, a leading distributor of batteries and lubricants in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver for our Fyshwick branch. The role involves picking, packing, loading orders, and making multi-drop deliveries to customers, with light warehousing duties and help across the branch as needed.

You'll be the face of the company, providing courteous service, completing delivery paperwork, and performing vehicle safety checks.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence preferred.
• Must be able to lift repetitively up to 30kg.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to match numbers and have good attention to detail.

Our busy Fyshwick Branch is looking for a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver!

You must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting while observing safe lifting practices (25kg+).

The main duties of this role include:

• Pick, pack and load orders into Company vehicle for deliveries
• Multi-drop off deliveries to our customer base in a timely manner
• General warehousing duties
• Assist with other branch duties as required.
• Offer courteous and friendly customer service at all times
• Complete all delivery related paperwork including vehicle safety checklists
• Checking, charging and fitting batteries

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours)with rostered Saturday mornings paid at penalty rates!

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Hold a current forklift licence preferred
• Must be able to lift repetitively up to 30kg
• Able to work independently and part of a team
• Ability to match numbers and have good attention to detail
