Great River Trading Australia Pty Ltd is a newly established Australian company specialising in the sales and distribution of automotive starting lead-acid batteries. We are looking for a reliable, responsible and hands-on Delivery Driver to join our growing Australian operation. The role will primarily involve delivering automotive batteries to customers, distributors and business partners, while also supporting warehouse and logistics activities when required. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with customers and taking responsibility for ensuring goods are delivered safely, accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transporting and delivering automotive starting batteries to customers and business partners
• Loading and unloading batteries and other products safely and efficiently
• Checking delivery quantities, product types and customer orders before dispatch
• Ensuring products are secured appropriately during transportation
• Planning and following efficient delivery routes
• Completing scheduled deliveries within required timeframes
• Obtaining customer signatures or electronic confirmation of delivery
• Checking delivery documentation and maintaining accurate delivery records
• Communicating professionally with customers at the point of delivery
• Reporting delivery issues, damaged goods, shortages or discrepancies to management

About you

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver, Courier, Warehouse Driver or similar role
• A current and valid Australian driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven
• A good driving history and strong commitment to road safety
• Experience loading, unloading and transporting goods
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliveries
• Strong attention to detail when checking orders and delivery documentation
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• A reliable, punctual and responsible work attitude
