Job summary

UPS is seeking a courier driver to safely transport road freight across metropolitan and regional areas while delivering exceptional customer service. You will plan routes, inspect packages for accuracy and labeling, load/unload using appropriate equipment, and ensure secure handling of all items.

The role requires basic forklift or pallet jack operation, a valid two-axle rigid vehicle license, and a reliable driving record. Excellent customer service and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role.
• Valid driver's license for a two-axle rigid vehicle.
• Good driving record.
• Proficiency in operating loading equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Carry out delivery and pickup across metropolitan and regional areas.
• Organise outbound freight by planning route schedules and inspecting packages and validating labels.
• Record and notify management of any faulty packaging or damaged items.
• Utilise equipment to load and unload vehicles.
• Safeguard freight to prevent movement during transit.
• Adhere to punctual completion of runs.
• Obtain recipient signature.
• Deliver superior customer service during all interactions.
• Ensure proper handling and security measures for all packages.
• Address delivery challenges, such as damaged items or inaccessible locations.
